Respondu

Terms of Service

Effective DATE · Last updated DATE

These terms are the agreement between you and us about using Respondu. The part worth reading properly is section 5: replies posted to your audience are published in your name, and you are responsible for them.

1. Who this is between

This agreement is between you (or the organisation you represent) and LEGAL ENTITY NAME, REGISTERED ADDRESS. By signing in you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are able to bind it.

2. What Respondu does

Respondu connects to channels you own, reads the comments on them, and drafts replies for you to review. It raises questions when it does not know something only you can answer, and it stores the answers you give so the same question does not need answering twice.

Respondu can also post replies without asking, but only for channels where you have explicitly turned that on, and only within the limits you set. It is off by default and it is never turned on for you.

3. Your account

You sign in with Google. Keep your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can act as you in Respondu. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

You must be at least 16, and you must not be barred from using the underlying platforms under their own terms.

4. Connecting a channel

You may only connect channels you own or are authorised to manage. You grant us permission to access those channels through the platform's API in order to provide the service, and nothing else.

You can disconnect at any time. Doing so deletes our copy of your access tokens immediately. It does not remove the grant at the provider — do that at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

5. Replies are yours

This is the important one. A reply Respondu drafts is a suggestion. A reply that is posted is published on your channel, in your name, to your audience. You are responsible for it, whether you approved it yourself or configured Respondu to post it automatically.

Respondu is built to avoid inventing facts about you: when it does not know something, it asks you rather than guessing. That is a design intent and a good one, but it is not a guarantee. AI systems can produce text that is wrong, inappropriate, or that reads differently from how you meant it. Review before you approve, and treat automatic posting as a decision about risk you are making deliberately.

You agree not to use Respondu to:

6. YouTube

Respondu uses YouTube API Services. By using it you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy governs their handling of your data. You can revoke Respondu's access to your YouTube data at Google's security settings.

YouTube enforces a daily quota that is shared across everyone using Respondu. In practice that limits how many replies can be posted platform-wide in a day. We manage it as fairly as we can and hold some back for posting so that reading a large back catalogue cannot consume all of it, but we cannot promise any particular volume.

7. Fees

CONFIRM: currently free / invoiced directly. State price, billing period, and notice of change before charging anyone.

8. Availability, and the state this is in

Respondu is early software. We will try to keep it running and to tell you about planned interruptions, but we do not promise any level of availability, and we may change or withdraw features.

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, audience or data, nor for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in that period and AMOUNT.

10. Your data

What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You keep all rights in your own content; you grant us only the permission needed to operate the service for you.

11. Ending it

You may stop using Respondu at any time by disconnecting your channels and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law or by a platform we depend on, or if we discontinue the service — with reasonable notice where we can give it.

On termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you at least NOTICE PERIOD beforehand. Continuing to use Respondu after a change takes effect means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of JURISDICTION, and the courts of JURISDICTION have exclusive jurisdiction.
